Technical Lead

 Toronto, Ontario

We are looking for a Technical Lead who will run the team’s agile ceremonies and drive the hands-on development of mission critical applications, ensuring that software defects are fixed and team KPIs are measured.

In this role you will…

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, Project Managers, and Solution Architects in the estimation of solutions and/or software programs and applications
  • Steer a team in the development of quality software solutions using an agile/devops methodology
  • Assist in preparing and documenting software requirements, specifications, and designs
  • Oversee test strategy, test planning and execution activities to ensure quality delivery
  • Recommend, schedule and perform software improvements/upgrades/patches to ensure technology currency
  • Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to defects and performance bottlenecks
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other members of the team
  • Participate in 3rd level production support for critical escalations

Why you are the person we’re looking for…

You’ve demonstrated the ability to do the following, gained through education and/or experience:

  • Successfully lead a technical agile team, including running agile ceremonies, effectively prioritizing, resolving conflict and providing direction to others
  • Utilize Spring Cloud Stream for various Kafka components like schema registry using Avro schema, KSQL 
  • Build applications using Java technologies such as: Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Security, EJB, JPA/JDBC 
  • Work with Azure Cloud technologies (APIM, Event Grid, Logic App) and Kubernetes
  • Design, develop and deploy REST APIs using Microservices and Microservices Design Patterns

The following is not required but will be a bonus:

  • Knowledge or experience with Angular
  • Scrum Master Certification or MS Azure Certification

Fundserv will cover the costs of maintaining the above certifications.
