We are looking for a Senior Network security engineer who will assist in improving the network security posture by identifying gaps and implementing affective controls.

In this role, you will…
- Work closely with the network team and security team to assess the network risks and vulnerabilities to implement effective mitigations and safeguards.
- Review network architecture and design to provide recommendations that align with Fundserv’s security objective.
- Monitor network traffic to identify a security event and provide mitigations to affectively triage and minimize impact.
- Assist the team in managing and configuring NGFW, IDS/IPS, WAF, ACLs and NSGs.
- Work with project teams to understand the scope and provide security requirements to reduce the risk.
- Proactively identify potential security risks and develop comprehensive security requirements and controls to address and mitigate these risks, ensuring robust protection of organizational assets.
- Perform all tasks related to the engagement in a secure, organized, and professional manner, adhering to best practices and maintaining clear and effective communication with stakeholders.
Why you are the person we’re looking for…
You’ve demonstrated the ability to do the following, gained through education and/or experience:
- Conduct vulnerability assessment using industry tools to identify vulnerabilities in an environment and assist in remediation of the findings.
- Familiarity with and practical experience in implementing security protocols like SSL/TLS, SSH, and IPsec.
- Working with network monitoring tools that can be used to capture and analyze packets to identify anomalies, intrusions, and security breaches.
- Proficiency using industry-standard tools used for routing, switching, and network security, specifically Cisco and Fortinet.
- Create, follow, and enforce rules and procedures to keep networks secure and protected from threats.
- Work independently and collaboratively, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Capable of explaining complex technical issues and documenting their impact effectively.
The following is not required but will be a bonus:
- Security and network certificates like CISSP, CCNP, CCIE or other relevant certifications are an asset.
- Automation with python or powershell.
